How to play PokéBalance
PokéBalance is a free daily Pokémon puzzle about weight. Put Pokémon on a balance scale and guess how it tips: how many Roggenrola balance a Snorlax, how to split six Pokémon into two equal halves, which group is heavier. Every Pokémon from Bulbasaur to Pecharunt uses its official Pokédex weight. No sign-up, no download: it plays in the browser, on your phone or computer.
Every Pokémon has an official weight. Put them on the scale and guess how it tips: the weights stay hidden until you weigh in.
Four challenges
- How many?
- Add copies of one Pokémon until you think they weigh as much as the other one.
- Even split
- Put each Pokémon on the left or the right plate so both sides weigh the same.
- Which is heavier?
- Two groups of Pokémon: pick the heavier side.
- Build the balance
- Combine a few species, each with limited copies, to match a target. An exact answer always exists.
Scoring
Each round scores up to 1,000 points, and the best possible answer always scores 1,000 — even when a perfect balance is impossible. Five rounds per game.
Each challenge has a Daily (the same for everyone, new every day at 00:00 UTC) and endless Practice.
Frequently asked questions
Is PokéBalance free?
Yes. It is free and needs no account. An optional account (just your email) saves your Dailies across devices and puts you in the daily ranking.
When do the Daily puzzles change?
Every day at 00:00 UTC, the same for everyone. Each of the four challenges has its own Daily, and you can replay past days from the archive.
Where do the weights come from?
From the official Pokédex data, through PokéAPI. Each species uses its default form: regional forms and Mega Evolutions are not included.
What if a perfect balance is impossible?
Then the best possible answer counts as perfect: it scores the full 1,000 points. The result tells you when that happens.
Can I play more than once a day?
Yes. Practice gives you a new random game of any challenge whenever you want. Only the Daily counts for the ranking.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. PokéBalance is made for phones first, and on a computer every challenge can be played with the keyboard.
